A Knox man was arrested Friday February 21 after deputies with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2600 East block of 150 South in Knox.
Police say the search warrant stems from an ongoing investigation by detectives with the Starke County Sheriff’s Office into narcotics-related activity at this residence. As a result of the search, narcotics including suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine were located inside the home, in addition to a firearm, according to the report.
Kyle Sanders, 43 of Knox, along with a juvenile, were located inside the home at the time the search warrant was executed. Investigators with the Indiana Department of Child Services were contacted to respond to the scene due to the juvenile living in the home.
Kyle Sanders is currently being held on preliminary charges related to narcotics possession as well as neglect of a dependent. Formal charges are pending with the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
